Trash Generator started as the brainchild of Jora Titov, born from the scolding magma of a crying mountain. As he was forging the vibrations in the air from burning slag to harmonies outlandish, Joris Wielenmaker came upon him in a thousand year storm, as by divine intervention. While perfecting their synergy, creating order out of chaos, the duo was visited by Niels Verhoeven in the eye of the storm. Like magic, he started putting the thundering sounds into words, clearing the skies. They continued playing together until they felt the ground move under their feet, and saw the mountains shift. It was Thomas van Hout, the last addition to their group. An impeccable quaternity now formed….
It all started while our guitarist listened to Them Crooked Vultures with their self titled debut album many years ago. Not like anything amongst its contemporaries it showed the possibility for new sounds not often heard in mainstream music. A deviation from the norm, filled with soul and personality instead of huge corporations and big teams working on how well a song will sell. This experience has been the moment of inception for the idea of Egor. Equal part a desire to create something that wasn’t there yet as much as the desire to make what comes from the soul itself. Something that is enjoyable not only once or for a year. But something that can resonate throughout time as it is it’s what we truly feel, unashamed and not adjusting to current trends.
